I’m Sandra—the woman behind The Whimsical Peony.
My professional life hasn’t exactly followed the traditional route, and truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Before tattoo machines, wax pots & running a storefront, I served as a Sheriff’s Deputy. That chapter of my life will always be part of who I am. I know firsthand what it means to put on the uniform, carry the responsibility that comes with it, and serve a community that may never fully understand what the job asks of you.
Because of that, creating a space where law enforcement, first responders, military members, medical professionals, teachers, fire & rescue, dispatchers, corrections and those who dedicate their lives to serving others feel seen, respected, and genuinely welcomed has always mattered deeply to me.
What began with body waxing eventually grew into a vision for something much bigger through my expression of fine line feminine tattooing.
I wanted to build more than a place where women simply came in for an appointment. I wanted to create a storefront where women could take care of themselves, feel completely comfortable being who they are, support other women building businesses of their own, and walk through the door knowing they don’t have to shrink, perform, or pretend to fit into somebody else’s version of “professional.”
Today, I specialize in custom freehand tattoo work & brazilian waxing, while continuing to grow The Whimsical Peony into a space where talented professionals can build businesses and careers of their own.
And if you end up in my wax room, fair warning: I’m direct, educational, conversational, and completely unfazed by pretty much anything you think is awkward.
I’m probably going to yap your ear off.
I’m probably going to make you laugh.
And I’m probably going to tell you the truth—even when the truth isn’t exactly trendy.
That same honesty and connection carries into my tattoo work.
One of the biggest visions I’m building toward is expanding my freehand tattooing into a project dedicated to breast cancer survivors. I want to create opportunities for women who have endured surgeries, scarring, reconstruction, loss, and incredibly difficult chapters to reclaim their bodies in a way that feels personal to them.
For some women, that may mean covering or incorporating scars into beautiful freehand artwork. For others, it may simply mean choosing to mark a new chapter on their own terms.
The Whimsical Peony has become the combination of all of those pieces—creativity, meaningful connection, service, supporting women, respecting the people who serve our communities, and creating a space where people can walk through the door and feel like they belong and safe.

Bizzy-Nailz specializes in Russian manicures and Builder Gel, with a strong focus on growing and maintaining healthy natural nails. Liz genuinely loves helping clients get their natural nails back on track, especially those who have struggled with damage and breakage. There’s nothing she loves more than watching their nails grow stronger, healthier, and longer over time.
She enjoys creating clean, detailed, long-lasting manicures that are customized to each client while making every appointment feel comfortable and personal. Builder Gel is her favorite for giving natural nails the extra strength they need while still allowing them to grow. When needed, Liz also uses Gel-X as a temporary tool to help protect and grow out the natural nail, rather than as a long-term extension service.
Her goal is to help every client feel confident in their natural nails while creating a manicure they genuinely love.
